NWSC Moves to Secure Reliable Water Supply for Manafwa With Major Network Upgrade
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has intensified efforts to improve water supply in Manafwa through a series of works aimed at strengthening the local water network and ensuring more reliable services.
The intervention is being implemented under the Government of Uganda’s water stabilisation plans, which seek to address supply challenges and improve the performance of water systems in different parts of the country.
One of the major works underway in Manafwa is the interconnection of Bubutu to the Butiru water reservoir, creating an important link within the existing water supply network.
The project is expected to strengthen water distribution in the Manafwa service area by improving the way water is transferred through the system and supporting more consistent supply to customers.
NWSC is undertaking the works as part of its continued investment in infrastructure designed to improve the reliability, resilience and efficiency of water services in its areas of operation.
The improvements are particularly important as demand for water continues to increase among households, schools, health facilities, businesses and other institutions within growing communities.
The Manafwa intervention also forms part of a wider programme of water stabilisation works being implemented by NWSC across Uganda, with the corporation working to strengthen networks and improve service delivery.
Through the Bubutu-Butiru connection and other ongoing interventions, NWSC is seeking to build a stronger water supply system for Manafwa and provide residents with more dependable access to water.
