Kira MP George Musisi Applauds URSB for Taking Business Services Closer to the People
Kira Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. George Musisi has applauded the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) for taking its services directly to communities through business clinics and public outreach programmes.
Musisi made the remarks on Friday after visiting the URSB Business Clinic held at Quick Pick Supermarket in Namugongo, where residents and business owners had an opportunity to interact with URSB officials and learn more about business registration. The legislator welcomed the initiative, saying such engagements provide an important platform for URSB to directly address questions and concerns raised by members of the public about its services.
He observed that some people still hold misconceptions about business registration and other URSB services, making community outreach important in helping the public understand the procedures and benefits involved.Musisi further commended URSB for simplifying the registration process and introducing online services, saying the move has made it easier for people to access services without having to rely entirely on physical visits to URSB offices.
He encouraged entrepreneurs in Kira Municipality to embrace the available digital platforms and make business registration part of their efforts to build organised and formal enterprises. The MP also urged residents and business owners to take advantage of the URSB Business Clinic in Namugongo by seeking information, getting assistance with registration and clearing up any concerns they may have about the process.
His visit highlighted the importance of bringing public services closer to communities, with URSB’s outreach programme providing residents with a direct opportunity to access information and support as they work to formalise and grow their businesses.
