URSB Brings Business Registration Services Closer to Youth at National Leaders Conference
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has used the National Youth Leaders Conference to connect directly with young leaders and provide them with practical information and guidance on business registration and other services. The two-day conference was organised by the National Planning Authority (NPA) and was held on September 17 and 18, 2026, at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala. It brought together youth leaders from different parts of Uganda to learn more about government services, opportunities and programmes designed to support young people.
URSB’s participation gave the young leaders an opportunity to interact directly with its team and learn about the importance of registering businesses and other entities. The engagement focused on helping participants understand the available services and how they can access them.During the conference, URSB staff provided one-on-one registration support and guidance to participants. Those with questions about business registration were able to receive direct explanations and practical assistance from the URSB team. The direct interaction was particularly useful for young people who may have business ideas or enterprises but are not fully familiar with the formal registration process.
Through the engagement, URSB helped participants understand the steps involved and the services available to them. The conference also created an opportunity for URSB to listen to the concerns and questions of young leaders. By engaging with participants individually, the Bureau was able to provide guidance based on their different needs and interests. For young entrepreneurs, understanding government services is an important part of building and developing their ventures. Formal business registration can provide a foundation for operating a business within the legal framework and accessing opportunities that may require proof of registration.URSB’s presence at the conference therefore added a practical element to the discussions on youth development.
The Bureau’s team ensured that participants did not only hear about government services but also had an opportunity to access information and guidance directly.Through its continued engagement with young people, URSB is helping increase awareness of registration services and encouraging more youth to take advantage of the opportunities available to them. The National Youth Leaders Conference provided another platform for the Bureau to bring these services closer to the people it serves.
