Speke Resort Munyonyo Wins Another Global Award

Speke Resort Munyonyo has secured another international award after being named the Best Luxury MICE Resort Globally at the 2026 Luxe Global Awards.
The latest recognition places the Ugandan resort among facilities receiving international recognition for their work in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

The award recognises Speke Resort’s conference facilities, hospitality services and capacity to host major local, regional and international meetings and events.
The resort said the achievement reflects its continued efforts to provide high-quality hospitality and professional meetings and events services to its guests.
“We are honoured to be named Best Luxury MICE Resort Globally at the LUXE Global Awards,” the resort said.
Management added that the award recognises its commitment to delivering quality hospitality, well-organised meetings and events and positive experiences for guests.

The latest achievement adds to a growing list of awards won by Speke Resort Munyonyo during 2026.
In August, the resort was named Uganda’s Leading Conference Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards.
It beat Kampala Serena Hotel, Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz and Sheraton Kampala Hotel to claim the title.
The award also marked another success for the resort, which had previously won Uganda’s Leading Conference Hotel title in 2024 and 2025.
Earlier this year, Speke Resort was also recognised at the 2026 Luxe Global Awards as the World’s Best Luxury Convention Resort.
The latest achievement therefore becomes the resort’s third major hospitality and conference award of 2026, following the two Luxe Global Awards and the World Travel Awards recognition.
The awards come as Uganda continues to promote conference and business tourism as part of efforts to attract more international visitors and events.
Located on the shores of Lake Victoria in Munyonyo, Kampala, Speke Resort offers accommodation, conference facilities, restaurants, leisure activities and event venues in one location.
The resort says it has more than 450 rooms, 33 meeting rooms, outdoor event spaces and a convention hall.
Its facilities have hosted numerous high-profile national, regional and international gatherings over the years.
The resort was also among the hospitality facilities that played a role during the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit held in Kampala in January 2024.
Speke Resort’s latest award adds to its international profile as it continues to compete for major conferences, corporate meetings and other high-value events.
The recognition also comes as Uganda seeks to strengthen its position as a destination for international conferences, exhibitions and business tourism.
The resort said the award would motivate its management and staff to continue improving the quality of services offered to guests and event organisers.
It also thanked its guests, employees, partners and supporters for contributing to the resort’s continued recognition.
With the latest accolade, Speke Resort Munyonyo continues to build its reputation within Uganda’s hospitality industry while attracting greater attention from the international MICE market.
