URSB Takes Business Registration Services to Katwe, Kitintale and Patongo

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has taken its business registration services closer to entrepreneurs and business owners through a mass business registration clinic being held in Katwe, Kitintale and Patongo.

The initiative is aimed at helping people with business ideas as well as those already running businesses to formally register their enterprises and access the benefits that come with having a registered business. In Katwe, the URSB team is offering services at Pride Bank, Katwe Branch, from Monday, September 28 to Saturday, October 3, 2026.

The clinic will run daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm, giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to receive registration support without travelling far to access URSB offices. In Kitintale, the mass registration clinic is being held at the market, opposite Centre Plaza along Luzira Road. The exercise started on Monday, September 28 and will continue until Friday, October 9, 2026. Services are available from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Residents of Patongo are also being served at Bank of Africa Patongo Branch. The clinic started on Monday, September 28 and will run until Friday, October 2, 2026, with URSB officials available from 8:00am to 5:00pm.URSB says registering a business can help entrepreneurs access funding opportunities, bid for large contracts and supply goods and services to different organisations. Formal registration can also help business owners build a recognised identity for their enterprises as they seek to grow.

The outreach is part of URSB’s effort to bring registration services closer to communities and make the process easier for entrepreneurs. Under the message “Kiri Easy – Register Your Business Today!”, the Bureau is encouraging people to take advantage of the clinics and get guidance from its team.Entrepreneurs who cannot attend the physical clinics can also begin the registration process online through the URSB e-registry platform. The Bureau has encouraged anyone with a business idea or an existing business to take the opportunity to get registered and take the next step towards formalising their business.
